Laboratory Manager
Summary of Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will support our manufacturing and R&D teams with daily management and maintenance of the laboratory including but not limited to: record keeping, inventory tracking, materials acquisition, materials and equipment maintenance, hazardous materials handling, shipping and receiving as well as maintain all general laboratory management duties. The candidate is expected to coordinate and maintain all research stocks including but not limited to maintaining stock media orders, plate coating orders and raw material aliquots following complex laboratory protocols.
Summary of Qualifications:
Experience in mammalian cell culture is required and a proven track record in laboratory management is preferred. This position requires a highly organized individual who is results oriented and capable of successfully completing complex tasks with minimal supervision. Therefore, the selected candidate must have a demonstrated track record for meeting deadlines. Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must. Knowledge of OSHA, DOT and hazardous materials regulation is a plus. A Bachelor of Science degree in a biological science is preferred.
Research Associate
Summary of responsibilities:
The successful candidate will support our laboratory team in research and development operations for the company. This individual will carry out and design, conduct and analyze research under the direct supervision of cross functional Research Team Leaders within defined timelines. Areas of research responsibility shall include but not be limited to: mammalian cell culture, cell line generation, cell based assay development, enzyme assay development, recombinant protein production, vector construction and genetic modification.
Summary of qualifications:
Candidates with a Master’s degree in developmental neuroscience or cell biology are preferred; however, equivalent work experience and a 4 year degree in a related field may be considered. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in stem cell culture and be familiar with epifluorescence and confocal microscopy, flow cytometry and immunocytochemistry. The position requires the individual to complete tasks with an advanced degree of complexity. Therefore, the successful candidate must be results-oriented, self motivated and have demonstrated time management skills and a track record of success. Excellent oral and written communications skills are a must.
