New Research Tools for Drug Discovery With our proprietary technology, ArunA creates reliable, robust and highly scalable human stem cell systems. These new and innovative research tools reduce both time and effort and are uniquely suitable for a wide range of applications and assays, e.g., cellular model studies, high content screening, developmental studies, RNAi studies and genetic manipulation. ArunA’s adherent monolayer technology, eliminates most of the difficulties encountered in studies using other sources of stem cells and their derivatives. The adherent monolayer can readily be used in standard assay formats, from 96-well plates to flasks. Also for drug screening and toxicity studies, all cells in the assay are uniformly exposed to the test agent ensuring the quality of assay results. ArunA’s serum-free and feeder-free adherent monolayer technology platform provides “off the shelf” access to normal human cell types.
Because they are derived from human embryonic stem cells using proprietary technology, ArunA’s human cells are robust, easily maintained, highly proliferative, and readily grown into large populations needed for today’s high throughput research. Large numbers of cells can be produced in less than 10 passages, thus avoiding the pitfalls of using other embryonic stem cell sources and technology.
